Operation Christmas Child

Hobby Lobby is thrilled to be partnering once again with Samaritan’s Purse for this international project to provide families, churches and individuals with Christmas boxes. Packing a shoebox is easy and fun!  Fill it with toys, school supplies, hygiene items and notes of encouragement.  These boxes can make a significant difference in the lives of hurting and vulnerable children around the world.  For many of these children, the gift-filled box is the first gift they have ever received, demonstrating God’s love in a tangible way.

Customers can purchase shoebox-size plastic containers and items to pack in the shoebox gifts at all Hobby Lobby stores through the middle of November.

“We are delighted to partner with Operation Christmas Child to help show God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world,” said David Green, Founder and CEO of Hobby Lobby. “This initiative will touch countless lives with a Christmas gift and the greatest gift of all–the good news of Jesus Christ.”

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international Christian relief and evangelism organization headed by Franklin Graham. This year marks twenty five years of serving children worldwide. Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has delivered gift-filled shoeboxes to more than 157 million children in over 160 countries and territories.

Information for the nearly 5,000 shoebox drop-off locations across the nation will be posted online, and can be found on the Operation Christmas Child website. For more information, visit www.samaritanspurse.org/occ.
