Hobby Lobby partners with Operation Christmas Child

During the 2015 holiday season, Hobby Lobby partnered with Operation Christmas Child to help provide gift-filled shoeboxes to children affected by war, poverty, natural disasters, and other crises. 

The Operation Christmas Child displays in the stores generated a lot of interest with customers as well as employees. The partnership went extremely well and the gift boxes are making a difference in the lives of needy children in more than 100 countries and territories. Hobby Lobby anticipates partnering with this outstanding program again.

Worldwide Impact
Operation Christmas Child reports they collected over 11.2 million shoeboxes for worldwide distribution this past Christmas. Wade Martin, the Assistant Director of Strategic Partnerships at Samaritan’s Purse said, “We are grateful for the partnership with Hobby Lobby and the added impact it had as a record number of shoebox gifts were collected in 2015.”

Since 1993, the Samaritan’s Purse project, Operation Christmas Child, has collected and delivered more than 124 million gift-filled shoeboxes to children in more than 150 countries and territories. Read more about Operation Christmas Child.
