Milestone store 700 opening in Fresno, California
Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc., the nation’s largest privately owned retail chain of craft and home decor stores, announced its 700th store will open in Fresno, California, on August 8, 2016.
While this is Hobby Lobby’s 700th store nationwide, it is the 33rd location in California. Hobby Lobby currently operates in 47 states and is on track to open 50 new stores in 2016. The company has more than 30,000 employees and offers one of the highest wage rates in the industry with full-time employees earning $15.35 an hour and part-time employees receiving $10.23 an hour.
“Opening our 700th store in Fresno is a significant milestone in Hobby Lobby’s history as we continue to increase our locations to meet customer needs,” stated John Schumacher, Assistant Vice President of Advertising.
Beginning August 8, the Fresno store, located on Blackstone Avenue between Herndon and Sierra, will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. All Hobby Lobby stores are closed on Sunday.
