Hobby Lobby runs holiday messages at Christmas and Easter. “These ads don’t include sale items or special pricing,” stated company president Steve Green. “We just want to let people know that we love our Lord.”

This year’s Easter ad features the message “For God so loved the world.” The scripture verse Johhn 3:16  reads, “For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Since 1997, these holiday messages have appeared in area newspapers where Hobby Lobby has stores and regularly advertises. With the addition of social media, many more thousands of people view and share the life-giving messages.

This year’s ad is a reminder of the reason for Easter as it celebrates what millions of people around the world and throughout history have considered the most significant event in human history–the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
