It’s not unusual for customers to discover great finds at Hobby Lobby–but one Saturday morning, two random shoppers found the discovery of a lifetime. Jessica started off her day searching for a housewarming gift for her brother. John was in the store looking for mantel decor suggested by his mother.

Jessica noticed a man in the adjacent aisle. John had already noticed her and was looking for an opportunity to speak to her. Then it happened. John asked Jessica if she could help him find a picture for his mantel. They walked around Hobby Lobby looking for a picture and learning about each other. As they were saying goodbye, John summoned his courage and asked Jessica for her phone number.

“Is this what you do on Saturdays,” asked Jessica, “go to Hobby Lobby and pick up women?” They laughed and exchanged numbers not knowing if they would ever see each other again.

Soon they had their first date followed by many more. Now plans are underway for a spring wedding.

“No stalking was involved in this love story,” said Jessica. “We just found love in the home decor aisle. We can’t wait to see what God has in store for us, and we are thankful He made Hobby Lobby a major part of our story.”
