Hobby Lobby reached a milestone, on January 8, 2018, with the opening of store 800 in Clearwater, Florida. The company continues to expand across the U.S. with plans to open 60 new locations and hire approximately 2,500 new employees in 2018.

Hobby Lobby began when David Green moved his business from the family garage to a 300 square-foot retail space in 1972. It is now the nation’s largest privately owned arts and crafts retailer. Each store offers more than 70,000 crafting and home decor products.
